thanks greg! (i am *such* a whiner!)

btw, here's what i've found so far:

1. boot up is fine (i boot using a black console - white text on black)
2. hpcapm seems to report 80 percent no matter what
3. started X and trackpoint and LCD blanking works! D-Link wireless card
turns off and on in response to power-button presses; trackpoint action is
stable and restored! - yahoo!
4. using:

shutdown -r now

results in a reboot back to NetBSD, but with a white console (black text
on white); is there some way to create a persistent setting for white text
on a black screen?
5. while in the white console, LCD screen blanking does not work
6. using:

shutdown -h now

from white console results in a reboot back to WinCE
7. using:

shutdown -h now

from the black console results in - nothing! this forced me to have to
remove backup batteries and the LiIon battery and then 'paperclip' the
reset button (i tested this with and without the two backup AAAs
installed, so now i just use the z50 w/o the backup AAAs - don't need
no stinking CE settings anyway)...

i'll run some other stuff (such as audio) and will report...

all in all, i'm very happy! despite the shutdown problem, the addition of
LCD blanking, audio, and the addition of trackpoint support is a major
happy event for z50 NetBSD users!

thanks to all,

billy ball
