OK. I've done a silly thing. I tried to use update.sh to try to
rebuild my NetBSD/hpcmips box. This has caused me not to be able to
build anything. I downloaded a recent 1.5ZC snapshot. Am I safe just
extracting base.tgz and comp.tgz in / with tar xvfz and then
rebuilding/rebooting with a new kernel? Or is it more complex than
that and I risk serious damage to my system?

I supposed I can try it and find out the hard way. Worst case is that
I'd have to install from scratch. Hmmm, maybe that isn't such a bad
idea after all.
