Well, the first sentence in that paragraph should, of course, read "I'm
now cross compiling..."

It finished, I copied it into place, rebooted, and crossed my fingers.
The z50 rebooted without a single problem.  The audio device was found,
LCD blanking seems to be working.  The only difference between this kernel
and the generic hpcmips kernel is that I omitted all the usb support and
compiled it specifically for the VR4121 chip (and I turned on support for
LCD blanking).  Tonight, if I get the chance, I will once again try to add
Greg Hughe's code and see if I can get it to compile :-)
