My Vcr chips are labeled NEC Vcr4172 or Vcr4171 or Vcr4371 (in my Thin
Star).  The D82310S chip likely is ROM part (at least 82 chips I've seen
before are ROMs).

I don't think you can.  I've only found them by direct examination and
luck.
