I have a NEC Mobilepro 800 which is nice. It will do 800x600 vs
the z50's 640x480. I'm using an Orinoco Wavelan card and I have a
256mb CF card in it. Works great as a portable terminal, much
quieter than a laptop, lighter, and longer battery life.
The few things I don't like about it are the lame touch screen,
which has mixed accuracy, and the lack of a true screen blank/suspend
(which I know is not an option - the suspend that is) and the lack
of being able to use a USB mouse (or serial mouse for that matter) I picked
mine up for $300 sealed in the box on ebay.com. I highly recommend
ion as a window manager, as it truly does not need a mouse for
anything (I use the mouse when I have Netscape displayed back
from another machine on my local network)
