See the NetBSD/hpcmips User How-To page, "NetBSD/hpcmips boot loader
options" at www.netbsd.org.  Having read that again, on the pbsdboot.exe
config graphic enter '-a' under options and the boot will stop and ask for
the root location and filesystem type.  Worked on my NEC 780.
