I don't have another NetBSD box, but I do have Cygwin on Windows XP.  
Maybe I can get distcc to work from there.  

All of this is reminding me of the old Steve Martin joke about how to 
become a millionaire.  The first step, which he hilariously tries to 
gloss over:  "Get a million dollars"....
