I have private changes to wsconsctl(8) to support brightness &co.
I'll try to update, clean up and commit them after EuroBSDCon.

It would be *very* nice to support GPE and Qtopia under NetBSD.  It's
just there seems to be nobody to care enough about it to commit some
effort to porting them.
