I suggest removing the backup battery altogether. It makes rebooting much
easier: just pop the external battery out and back in. It also makes Win CE
complain enough, if you ever have the temerity to use it again for anything
other than HPCBOOT, that you will soon lose that temerity, thus restoring
coolness and balance.

Anyway, those backup batteries have a price as annoyingly high as their
lifetime is short (if your main battery ever goes flat), and used ones
can't be that good for the environment.
