Ok I did another test on my Jornada 720 and I have the same symptoms
with hpcboot as with CyaCE, but I do get an output on my serial port and
it seems to die on the root disk, it looks like it cant mount it, now
the funny thing is that it tries to switch into a "console like" mode
cause I actually see a couple of lines on my jornada's screen which look
like console text, is that behaviour expected???

After having reset the device it comes back to me with a screen which is
close to very very bright so that you cant read anything, after taking
the backup battery out and waiting till the ram is gone it comes back up
fine, anyone else experiencing that behaviour?

My device is an HPC but bought in the UK..

Maybe it has foot and mouth or some other strange disease...

chrs Steve
