It appears to me that the 20010224 snapshot kernel was built for the IPAQ. 
It actually seem to boot fairly far but kept prompting me for root device.

Here is output from serial port during the boot.
Notice the line starting "NetBSD 1.5S (IPAQ)" and the one below it.

If some kind person out there with a netbsd box could build a kernel
specifically for 820 and one for 720, we could have something more
appropriate to play with.
