Looking at the GENERIC kernel config, there are the PA8k CPUs commented
out. So yes, this is currently not supported. 

I will get a C240 (240 MHz PA8200) in three weeks. With this machine to
run test kernels on, I may be able to get somthing running on PA8000
CPUs. In 32 bit mode only, of course. I still have not investigated the
effort needed to accomplish this. It may be anything from trivial to
very complex, so don't hold your breath.
