I tried this on C180 (9000/780).
I set up bootpd/tftpd instead of rbootd.

/etc/bootptab:
	<hostname>:\
		:ht=ethernet:ha=<ether_addr>:sm=255.255.255.0:lg=<loghost>:\
		:ip=<IPv4_addr>:hn:bf=SYSNBSD:bs=auto:rp=<root_dir>:


Main Menu: Enter command > bo lan
