The 7936/37 drive has a few things that people should be aware of:
FIRST, WHEN SHIPPING SET THE SHIPPING SWITCH TO SHIPPING (check Number
one BELOW)
To operate the drive:
1.) First, (****WARNING**** DO NOT CHANGE THE SHIPPING SWITCH WITH THE
DRIVE ON, IT WILL DAMAGE IT) check the SHIPPING switch to make sure the
drive is in OPERATE MODE (Look on back panel, in the UPPER RIGHT MOST
HOLE. There should be a label on the back to show the right position of
the lever.
2.) Make sure ALL DIP switches are not set in to a TEST mode and are
set for PROPER operation. (See label on back of drive)
3.) Turn drive on and watch for a pattern of blinks from the drive
lights, Then check the lights with the label on back (The label has the
different MODES that the lights mean)
4.) IF this doesn't work put the drive into TEST MODE (With the DIP
switches) and see if anything happens (DON'T ASK ME WHAT IS SUPPOSE TO
HAPPEN, I DON'T KNOW)
Thats all.
