Hi there...

Just a question: I recently bought a 2GB drive made by IBM for my 345.
The problem is, that the kernel doesn't see it, I suspect that it
doesn't work at all, to check this I connected my old Seagate and the
IBM with the same SCSI ID to the bus and the seagate appears totally
undisturbed.
Is this one of these
the-drive-needs-special-initialization-that-the-BootROM-doesn't-do-problems
?
The drive is working at least on an Acorn A5000 with an FAS16 SCSI Board
with extraordinary speed...
I think I have heard of a partial(?) solve for a similar problem
regarding some Quantum drives, especially the Lightning, what is the
state of this ?

I tried all kernels I could find, including my own 1.1, the generic 1.1,
1.2.1 and 1.3.

bye
Michael
