Hi folks,
I'm having a bit of a bizarre problem upgrading to the 1.2C snapshot.
I can't seem to get my system to boot when I have the following drives
turned on:
id 0 rd7959B
id 1 rd7937H
id 2 rd7937H
id 3 rd7937H
id 4 rd7937H
It boots all the way up to the point where it says:
May 16 15:48:48 fatmac /netbsd: root file system type: ffs
and starts the fsck -p. Whereupon it hangs and drive rd1 is rapidly
flashing. When I turn off the 7959B drive it boots fine, but does the
following during autoconf:
May 16 15:48:46 fatmac /netbsd: rd1 at hpibbus1 slave 2 punit 0hpibbus1:
swait timeout
May 16 15:48:46 fatmac /netbsd: hpibbus1: swait timeout
May 16 15:48:46 fatmac /netbsd: hpibbus1: swait timeout
Another system I have has three rd7959B drives and other than the swait
timeout during boot it works fine.
Both systems use 98625B fast hpib cards to drive the drives.
Is there some reason why the 7959B and 7937H drives are incompatable now?
Thanks!
