There are currently no devices on the 425e that are supported as the
console, AFAIK.

Hitting 'R' after the beeps will put in serial console mode, but
NetBSD doesn't (yet) support the serial ports on the 425e.  I
have written support for these, and Jason has the code in his
inbox.  Jason is, however, at least as busy as I am.  8)

If you're OK waiting a couple of weeks (after the 20th I will 
have a little more free time), I can produce a kernel that
will support your serial port as a console, at which point
you will be able to install.  There is at least one other 
individual interested in getting console support for the SGC
adapters moving; I would suggest a team effort of some sort
might work.
