However, I wouldn't give up on the Linux option -- installing a new
OS is a bit drastic :-> If you want to try the Linux route, have a
look at my page at http://mnementh.trin.cam.ac.uk/hp/ which has some
notes on how to do this, plus a version of rbootd ported to Linux.
As David says, tcpdump output is really useful for working out just
where in the boot procedure things are getting stuck.
