No, I don't think there's a hardware problem...

Note, you've successfully rarp'd and done a bootparam for root.  Looks
like you're probably losing here on the NFS mount of /.

Can you please try the SYS_UBOOT at:

  ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/arch/hp300/snapshot/970105/SYS_UBOOT.gz

If you still see problems, please use tcpdump to log the booting process
and make that available to me?

HP would like to see all of the 300s die, I think... I've had a very
hard time scaring up docs on these... A few folks were working on
an hp300 hardware FAQ, but I don't know what became of it.
