Well now that I have all this stuff running, I went looking for
documentation.  The FAQ says to look in /usr/share/doc, but there are only
directories in what I untarred from
ftp.NetBSD.org/pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-1.2/hp300/binary

Am I missing something?  Is there docs available some where else?
