it would be nice if you got xview working on the sparc.  last time i
tried (some years ago) it always dumped core on me, giving me a
corrupted core file.  i built a debugging libxview.a (22M) but it
was Just Too Slow to debug (ie, 1-2 minutes to start gdb) and i
punted.
