Hi,

here are the latest news on the installation on my HP machine....
First of all, I have to say I use 3 identical disks:
- the 1st is my HP-UX boot disk
- the 2nd one, on the same controller, is my NetBSD boot & root disk
- the 3rd is to be used as a data disk.
Once I had the 1.1 install done on the 2nd disk, I decided to try the 1.2 one,
so under HPUX I did a "dd if=SYS_INST of=/dev/dsk/2S0 bs=20b" in order to write
the SYS_INST on the 3rd (unused disk), and I gave a try at using 1.2's
SYS_INST....at this point, the SYS_INST of 1.2 worked! So I did a complete
install of 1.2 on my 2nd disk (in order to have an up-to-date version)...
And I am very sorry of what I said before, but the install process of 1.2 on
hp300 ran very smoothly! Terry still has his problem with his, so I don't know
where it comes from...the only difference is that he wants to install on a SCSI
disk...can this be the cause of the problem?

Anyway, now I have a fully-functionnal machine, with X, so I have to
thank you, and also #netbsd irc people, who're always there to help, for your
valuable advice!
