The BOOTROM revision is printed when you turn on the system ... You have
an hp340, the ROM should be fine ... it's really mostly a warning for
hp320 users, who often have Rev B. ROMs.

Yah, it'll need to be on the network with an rbootd server running on
some other machine on the same Ethernet segment.

The installation tools will be able to wipe out HP Basic for you.

I'd really like to know what those switches are, as well. At least one
of them sets the "remote" bit on the internal serial port (which enables
serial console) ... If someone has more info on these, please let me
know, and I'll get that info on the WWW server.
