The HP serial console would be using either 9600-8N1 or 9600 7E1.  If you 
get your HP "stuck" in serial console mode, there are a couple of ways to 
fix this depending on your model.  If you have a model which sets the 
"remote" bit on the serial port via a "configuration EEPROM" (345, 375, 
380, and 400-series), you should have the opportunity to press "L" at 
power-up to use the "local" console (HIL/ITE).  Otherwise, you have to 
change the remote switch on the serial port.
