For the 98642 (4 port mux), it looks like this:

MUX          DB 25
TD  1 -----> RD  3
GND 2 <----> GND 7
??? 3 <----> 
RD  4 <----- TD  2

Pin 3 on the mux is appereantly not used on the pinout I have from HP.
