And to follow up on my own post, it will display LAN as bootable _if_ a 
host on the network is responsing to HP RMP boot requests, i.e. running 
rbootd and configured to boot that host.

How, I think before I reply to any more e-mail, I better go and get the 
requisite cup of coffee... :-)
