Ok - more...

So, I came to where I needed to power-cycle the machine...(Got a kernel
again working with my autoconf hack...)

The bootblock now tells me this:

>> NetBSD BOOT HP9000/433 CPU [$Revision: 1.1.2.1 $]
Boot: [[[sd5a:]/netbsd][-s][-a][-d]] :-
sd(0,5,0,0): bad adaptor number
boot: bad adaptor number

Well, I'd go into more detail, but I need to put a kernel on an hpib disk
so I can boot the bloody machine...

Ideas, besides `Install the old boot blocks...', which I'm going to do
anyway?
