Since you mention linux, what about CentOS/ Bluequartz?
free .iso installers from www.nuonce.net, also some from
osoffice.co.uk and perhaps www.solarspeed.net
I put the osoffice.co.uk stuff on my Qube3 and I like it a lot.
Based on RHEL so frequent updates. I haven't looked to see if Raq3
and 4's are supported but I know some RAQs are.
and if you wish to play around you have the whole GUI for sausalito.
Else you have a pretty solid sftpd or whatever.
I was going to do NetBSD on the Qube3 but that was a non-starter.
