The restore CD partitions the drive before transferring the file sets
& building the device nodes.  Given that the CD is used over a wide
range of disk sizes, the partitioning scheme is very simplistic:

* a minimal Linux partition
* 2x RAM sized swap partition
* 10% - 20% for /var
* 5% - 500MB for /tmp
* everything else goes to root
