Hi:
Well yes I had 3.99.17 on my machine but it give me too many network
problems and after Alex help me trying to recompile the kernel with the
"options sosend_no_loan" unfortunately with no good luck, I have to
try the new recovery cd's (3.99.17 I was using was created by Dennis Ch.)
and none of those let me go further than "formating root" in a blank HD, in
a hd with 1.6.1 I was able to install it.
That is the reason because I'm asking here, not because I want to make any
bad comments about somebody else.
Thanks again

I run netbsd-3 branch without any problems for a long time. Networking
is stable and I can transfer any large file. I have not tried 4gig but I
can try it.

Alex
