Hi people,
It's been a while since I last had time to look at my Qube, however
today I tried installing apcupsd onto it via pkgsrc. I go it
installed and checked out the apcupsd.conf file which looked okay.
I'm using it over the serial port, however when running apcupsd or
apctest I get the following on screen:
------------------------------------------------------------------
2006-12-08 01:52:15 apctest 3.8.6 (5 February 2003) netbsd
Checking configuration ...
sharenet.type = DISABLE
cable.type = CUSTOM_SMART
You are using a SMART cable type, so I'm entering SMART test mode
mode.type = SMART
Setting up serial port ...
apctest FATAL ERROR in apcserial.c at line 85
Cannot open UPS tty /dev/tty01: Device not configured
apctest FATAL ERROR in apcserial.c at line 85
Cannot open UPS tty /dev/tty01: Device not configured
apctest error shutdown completed
--------------------------------------------------------------
Does anyone know what the error:
Cannot open UPS tty /dev/tty01: Device not configured
means?
The manual here:
http://www.sibbald.com/apcupsd/3.8manual/bugs.html
Says I must edit line 85 of apcserial.c however how do I do this if
I'm using pkgsrc? Surely as I'm using pkgsrc and apcupsd version
later than this it would have been fixed on the nedbsd pkgsrc?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Glyn
