I successfully installed NetBSD 1.6.2 on a 300GB MaXLine II (5A300J0) in a
Qube2. Installation went smoothly from a NetBSD/cobalt Restore CD,
initialization of the disk did take many hours, progress was indicated by
the displayed node numbers.

In order to be able to operate Qube 2 absolutely fanless, I removed the
MaXLine II after 6 months of flawlwss operation in favor of a Notebook disk.

Betreff: Largest disk for Qube 2

Can anyone confirm whether Qube 2's work with disks larger than 137GB? I had
a 300GB 7200-rpm (overkill) I wanted to use. It's getting tough to find new
5400rpm drives now. I tried using restore cd's for 1.6.1, 2.0 and a self
built 2.1 but they all hang at various points such as 'setting up root'. One
of the CD's got to 'uncompressing comp.tgz' but it hung there for hours.
