unfortunately, the 162 also didn't work for me, this strange machine will 
install but halt on reboot.

Hm. I don't know those Qubes very well. *Might* it be an old firmware or 
something, is it flashable?

This is the "german" model, at least all labels are in german on the
backside. Does that matter?
