Well, I've been trying to get icecast 2.0.2 going this AM.
I did this via make update since there were some dependancies that I figured would get updated automagically.
However, the process gets bogged down with libxml2 (it's missing, though present in /usr/pkg/include/libxml2).
Trying to make install libxml2 on it's own fails, it needs needs xmlcatmgr, which is present in /usr/pkg?bin already.
Trying to make install xmlcatmgr on IT'S own succeeds. Going back to libxml2, though, still fails- xmlcatmgr not installed.
I can't find out how to make expects me to pass this sort of parameter- the files are BUILT and in their default location, and they got there from pkgsrc; why oulwd anything coming from /pkgsrc expect them to be elsewhere?
At least if I'm working with icecast from the offical source site, I have the configure script that has some details and I can tweek things.
How am I supposed to use the CFLAG and PFLAG (or similar) in conjuntion with make and pkgsrc?
pkgsrc worked fine for the first few installs I did on this system, OpenSSL, apache, postfix, stuff like that. But anything since then, it's been harder and I've had an easier time getting sources from outside pkgsrc- mostly as there's more documentation about making adjustments for different systems. If that's available for NetBSD/Cobalt, I'm missing it.
Thanks for help;
Brian
