hello

I recently, (about 2 weeks ago) finally made the move from the cobalt
linux distro to the much better netBSD, and i love it

the only problem i am having is paneld doesnt work

i can echo whatever i want to the lcd
with "echo 'lovely message here' > /dev/lcd

but if i try to start paneld

i get
"[13:13:36@caspar ~]$ paneld
Abort trap
[13:15:10@caspar ~]$
"

when i boot the qube, it does display the stuff it is starting, like
the sshd, dhcp, etc, and the last job it displays is cron, but it
never changes from that, it just stays " [Starting] cron" or whatever
it says

right now, the buttons on the qube do nothing, 
its not a big deal, but i would really like to know how to make it work

any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated
