So, first of all, adding 128MB of RAM is highly recommended: compile
time for Samba 3.0.1 is down to 128 minutes :)

Anyhow, I tried rolling back to 2.2.8a, just in case.

Same result. I read somewhere that the SMB filesystem might need to be
compiled into the kernel. Now, that's a thought. I don't seem to see the
SMB filesystem as an option in the Cobalt kernel config file. Should I
be using the MSDOS filesystem support?

Anyone have any ideas?
