It is bootable, but you did uncompress the image.iso.gz to image.iso =
before
burning it right?
image.iso is the only file you need to use and burn that to CD and =
that's
it.
Then you boot from that on a i386 computer and you are home free.
Here for the step:

Subject: Is the restore CD bootable
Sorry for the newbie question:
Is the 1.61 restore CD bootable? I've downloaded it from:
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/arch/cobalt/restore-cd/1.6.1/image.iso.gz=
Burned it with 2 different Windows burning programs on 2 different =
machines
(Nero Ultra 6 and Alcohol 120) as a bootable CD using the ISO image - =
the CD
burns and if I look at it, it shows the full directory structure - =
however,
neither CD will boot (and I can get the Cobalt Linux restore CD to boot =
on
either machine).
Any pointers will be appreciated,
Rick Montgomery
