sorry to continue spamming the list with my problems, but i just want to
point something out.
in Ted's howto is says to put dhclient=YES in rc.conf (well thats how i
interpreted his howto, point 5).
with that in place dhclient will drop the NFS connection when it comes time
to use dhclient which is a problem, as dhclient needs some files on the NFS
server - "shooting your own foot"
there is a related PR in netbsd based on this.
http://www.netbsd.org/cgi-bin/query-pr-single.pl?number=12096
there is a workaround mentioned in the pr report about putting
alias ifconfig true
in /nfsroot/etc/dhclient-enter-hooks
i couldnt work that one out, so i just removed the dhclient=YES line and the
qube continued to boot.
if someone could look over my logs that i captured over the serial line and
let me know if i am okay to continue installation that would be very much
appreciated. after the successful root login i have included the error
messages i had before when i had dhclient=YES in the rc.conf file.
thanks
Matthew....
