building an 1.5.1_BETA kernel now that I got it going[*], I wonder if IPv6
is disabled on purpose in the GENERIC kernel? It seems to work ok.

[*] If you ever have a cobalt hang at disk/nfs access, try swapping the
    RAM modules around!
