Subject: Install kernel won't boot

The INSTALL kernel (from ~24 hours ago) won't boot.  The last thing we get 
before the machine hangs is from the boot loading spinner:

2211840+2015232/

and then nothing.

Do we need to map more data space for this kernel?  A GENERIC kernel built 
from the same code boots ok.
