Can you tell me at which point in the boot the kernel crashes? Is it before,
after or in the middle of probing devices on the SCSI-bus?
Since rebooting a few times fixes the problem, I think the cause is an
interrupt while the driver is not yet ready for it. So the moment at which
it happens looks crucial.
