"man pppd" would be a good start. Ppp definitely works. I've even tried
nfs over a ppp-link. Although quite slow it works.

The idea of an NetBSD-FAQ in addition to the existing NetBSD-FAQ's ain't
that bad though. There are a few details that are specific to Atari, like
the virtual consoles, keyboard maps, disklabeling...
