I've seen a report from someone on an apple bulletin board (via some 
posting from slashdot) who has taken one apart.  It does appear that it is 
an ARM-based system (The mp3 chip is a PortalPlayers PP5002B apparentlyy), 
but I see nothing that suggests that it has an MMU, which would make 
porting NetBSD to it tricky at this time.
