I have repeated the test with the new kernel. Here are the results:
1 I had to start the !BtNetBSD application 2 times. The first time it stopped
with the 'Help! non contigunous relocate area.' message. The second time
  it continued.
2 The startup messages where redish. But you are working on that 8-).
3 The kernel booted!! Yes!!.
4 Although it all seems a bit slugish. Is there a change in caching of the
  VRAM?
5 When switching to another virtual console the color became white again.
Also when I switched back to the original virtual console.
6 One time actual virtual console showed the wrong data. This was fixed after
switching to another vc and back again.
7 I always stop netbsd by executing the halt command. The sequence it
displayed was different then I am used to. Just saying that it is syncing
the drives and then asking for a key press. Normally there are a lot of
other messages. However when I pressed a key the system halted. I had to
use the blue button of life (reset button) to do a reboot.

All in all it is another step forward.

Keep on going
