Subject: Shark keyboard confusion

There's one problem I just can't get rid of on my small Shark cluster.

When running X (say fvwm95 or kde, or any window manager, really), the
keyboard *very* often gets ina confused state. There never seems to be
any problem when running at the console level, but within X, the
keyboard will miss strokes, or decide a key is stuck down, or it's in
Caps lock, or generally weird unpredictable settings. Is there anything
obvious I have done wrong here? These are all Rev 5 boards, 32 or 64M
RAM, diskless and netbooting. At present I am running the 19991223
snapshot with the precompiled NetBSD 1.4 X packages (might this be the
problem?). The keyboards are Digital LK46W (fairly generic PS/2 KB
which works fine on most PCs, Alpha workstations, etc).

Thanks for any suggestions... I will attach my XF86Config file in case
it contains anything of value...
