After giving up on the SCSI, I managed to run the sysinstall with my
SCSI-Card plugged out. 

With that I got a bit further, and after I killed a dir on the ramdisk
because the system was running out of inodes, I even got as far as naming my
HD!

Then it just said that disklabel -w -r ... had failed. Typing that command by
hand gave no error.

Did ANYBODY EVER install that system as it is on the ftp successfully???
