Hi folks,

Sorry to keep posting about my hapless attempts to build NetBSD kernels,
I'm never quite able to keep up with what's going on...

I have the kernel source from the 19990315 snapshot, but have not yet
installed the binaries from the same date. My last binary upgrade was
(ISTR) in October 98.

Anyway, I have unpacked the syssrc archive to /usr/src/sys quite happily,
but trying to 'config HAMPSHIRE' for my config file gives a string of
errors about the conf/files file:

Performing configuration...
../../../../conf/files:21: syntax error
../../../../conf/files:23: syntax error
../../../../conf/files:25: syntax error
<snip>
../../../../conf/files:217: undefined attribute `ifnet'
../../../../conf/files:221: undefined attribute `ifnet'
../../../../conf/files:225: undefined attribute `ifnet'
../../../../conf/files:229: undefined attribute `ifnet'
../../../../conf/files:250: undefined attribute `tty'
Stop.

Is this because my /usr/sbin/config is out of date, or is there something
more fundamental?

Why does nothing I ever download from the NetBSD site ever work without
loads of faffing about? :-((

Thanks for any help.

Steve.
