Hi,
I have been working away for some time and on my return supped the latest
sources. Lots of changes, but the problem that has been there since about
October last is still there.
A kernel compiles fine, but will get no further, when booting, than(from
memory):
initarm.........secondary bootstrap.......mapping
This apparently only happens on an arm 610, strongarms not suffering.
The last time that I was able to compile a -current kernel which worked was from
the October 12th sources.
This initially exhibited the same problem, but adding debug printf statements to
the relevant code for some reason gave me a kernel which booted and is still
running perfectly. Unfortunately, this ploy no longer has the desired effect :(
Would it be possible for someone from the arm32 kernel team to pop an arm 610
into a RiscPC and have a look at this? I would be happy to help with any testing
or debugging required.
regards,
Dave
