Thanks,
Although the Makefile in /usr/pkgsrc/devel/mit-pthreads states that arm32 is
supported, it seems that this is incorrect.
There is a reference to arm.....risc* and arm........RISC* (can't remember what
was where I've placed .s) in ...../config/config.guess - These presumably would
match the old riscix implementation.
The above match would AFAIKT still fail to compile, since only the following
architectures seem to be recognised in ..../config/configure.in:
alpha-*-netbsd1.1* | alpha-*-netbsd1.2* | alpha-*-netbsd1.3*) alpha-*-osf*)
hppa1.1-*-hpux*)
sparc-*-sunos4.1.3* | sparc-*-sunos4.1.4*)
sparc-*-solaris2*)
i386-*-linux*)
i386-*-bsdi1.1)
i386-*-netbsd1.1* | i386-*-netbsd1.2* | i386-*-netbsd1.3*) i386-*-netbsd1.0*)
i386-*-netbsd0.9*)
m68*-*-netbsd*)
i386-*-freebsd2.*)
romp-*-bsd*)
mips-dec-ultrix*)
mips-sgi-irix*)
Fooling the make into believing that it is building for one of the above will
not work either, as there is cpu specific assembler in the syscalls required.
Am I missing something, or should this be the subject of a send-pr?
regards,
Dave
