My ISP is Force 9 and one of the newsgroups available is called
'alt.riscbsd'.

Is that anything to do with us - as far as I know there were no plans to
make the mailing list into a newsgroup.

If it isn't - for your information the only posting in there was a piece of
spam dated back to March so maybe we can 'borrow' it if you like.

I know mailing lists have advantages - no spam, more control over users
etc. but newsgroups also have their advantages, the main one being threads.
